Here is what we are charging, per athlete, for Team Membership (without tournament entry fees or travel costs) for the 2008 - 2009 season:

Costs not passed on to the athletes: coaches' background checks ($16) and coaches education (IMPACT, etc). 

Travel cost is wholly dependant on the level of play and upon the discretion of the Coach and/or parent/guardians.  Listed below were the Tournament and Travel costs for a player on each team for the 2007 and 2008 seasons.  They are provided for informational purposes only and to give prospective parents an idea of costs; this may not reflect the total for the 2009 season.

Regional tournaments will be roughly $20 - $25 per athlete.  There are some multi-day events (i.e. Richmond, Williamsburg) that may require an overnight stay -- this cost would be the entry fee, the Coaches' (for larger tournaments, we will also provide USAV sanctioned chaperones) and accommodations and expenses, and a hotel/motel room for the athlete (this would be split between other members of the team; i.e. there may be 2 - 4 to a room).    

The coaches and parent/guardians may decide that the quality of the team warrants a higher level of play that would justify multi-day tournaments held in other regions (i.e. Baltimore NEQ, Northern Lights, etc).  For this type of tournament, factor in the tournament fee ($30 - $45 per athlete), transportation costs, Coaches' costs and accommodations.

If a team qualifies for USAV Nationals , the team will need to go or risk sanctioning the club. The  2007 season's location was Minneapolis, MN; the 2008 JO nationals were in Dallas, TX.  Costs billed from the club may include airline tickets, hotel, as well as the coach's and chaperone's cost (per diem, car rental, parking, etc); each player would be responsible for meals, souvenirs, etc.

Once the teams have been chosen and a tournament schedule decided upon, a detailed bill will be posted and sent to each parent/guardian in their monthly statement.  The only way this amount would change is if the Coach and parent/guardians add additional tournaments.  If any tournament is canceled, the cost would be deducted from the athletes' account and a refund given at the end of the year.
